Group Limit: 8

Skill Level: Participants should have a basic knowledge of their camera and exposure settings.

*Activity Level: The shorelines, hills, and trails of the Keweenaw are wonderfully scenic but they can be treacherous, requiring a moderate level of agility and fitness.

Itinerary: Our four-day photo adventure will begin at 4pm on Friday, May 3rd in the conference room of the Keweenaw Mountain Lodge, and will conclude at 10am on Monday, May 6th. The exact timing of field excursions will depend on weather conditions.

Overview:  Join us as we explore the dramatic beauty of the Keweenaw, a very exciting photographic destination at the northernmost reaches of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Defined by the majestic Lake Superior, the Keweenaw Peninsula is a wild and scenic paradise with breathtaking mountain overlooks, sparkling waterfalls, rocky cliffs, cobblestone beaches, and historic lighthouses. We are excited to offer this all-new Photo Adventure inspired by our many years of scouting and shooting in the area. With the Keweenaw Mountain Lodge near Copper Harbor as our base, we will guide a small group of photographers to our favorite locations, providing individualized field instruction.

*Non-participating spouses can also attend the workshop for an additional $100 charge.

  • Informational handouts for reference

  • Spacious conference room with big-screen projection system for photo viewing

  • All special-use permits required for our group field excursions

What to Bring to this Workshop

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Cancellations require us to re-open enrollment and spend additional resources to promote the event to fill the workshop.  Therefore there are no refunds within 30 days of the event.  Any cancellation made before April 3, 2024 will result in a tuition refund minus the nonrefundable deposit. 

 Please note that the entire fee of $995.00 must be paid by date specified to secure your place in the photo tour.  If the full amount is not received by that date, your enrollment will no longer be held and all payments up to that point will be considered nonrefundable. 

We reserve the right to cancel the photo tour if we do not meet our minimum enrollment.  (We recommend travel insurance to cover your expenses in case of cancellation.)  If the event is cancelled for this or any other unforeseen circumstance, you will receive a full refund, deposit included.

Lodging
